Ride: 70km Woke up feeling a little better but not much. A very ordinary breakfast with smokers all around us, so we left quickly. It was a hot day but we rode through some nice villages and vineyards. We stopped at an internet café/library and booked a room at Ibis in Vienna (our next stop) for two nights. The hot day continued into the night and even though we were in a brand-new hotel there were no fans, so our sleep was not the best. Ride: 50km It was 8:16am before I started to feel a little better. Needless to say, I had a very ordinary day on the bike. I was on the point of collapse most of the day. When we got to our hotel, the bed was very welcoming! Graham brought up some soup and a milkshake which I consumed then read for about half an hour. Slept on and off for the rest of the afternoon and night. Our accommodation for the night - can't split that bed! Early morning downtown Grein Another bike ferry ride Melk Abbey, a Benedcitine monastery
